Motivation

The first step and hardest part of getting yourself healthy is convincing yourself to do it. For me, the turning point was when James Gandolfini died. He was around my age and so that just made me really realize, if I don't  get my health under control, that could be me. I know it sounds like the strangest thing, but that did it for me. One thing to do to get yourself motivated is to surround yourself with inspiration. When you look at workout videos or pictures of people working out, you will probably think, Man, I wish I was that fit. That usually makes me want to work out so take that feeling, get in some workout clothes, and go work out. You can do something simple starting out, like only doing a hundred calories on the treadmill or walking at a local park for 15 minutes. You can just walk up and down your driveway, anything to get moving. Remember, there is no bad workout, any workout is a good workout. Also, I know this sounds cheesy, but if your wallpaper on your phone has an inspirational quote/picture, it may help you get "into the mood" to workout or try to change your eating.

Welcome

Hello! My name is Julie. This is a blog I decided to make because I know that there are people out there that struggle with weight loss and don't know what to do. People have tried many types of diets and online weight loss services. I know from personal experience  that it's hard to find it within yourself to give up foods that you love and lose weight but you have to just think that you can do it. It's best to lose weight the healthy way instead of doing crazy diets because you can't guarantee that you will keep it off. But what I did is a healthy thing and was very effective. What I did was cut out all sugar, starch, and anything white. No bread, pasta, dairy, potatoes, cookies, cupcakes, nothing. I know it sounds impossible to do, but after a week or so, the cravings stopped. Instead of having all that junk, I ate other things that were healthy and still satisfied me. I ate a lot of nuts, eggs, salads, and meat.  Also I exercised every day. One flaw that I saw in diets was that they let you have cheat days. I worked hard to get passed the sugar cravings, but having cheat days just brought it right back!!! If you get into the habit of associating eating healthy with junk food, it will ruin the work that you have tried so hard to accomplish. On this blog, I will be posting healthy recipes, exercise plans, and anything to help you get healthy. You can leave comments if you want me to post a certain thing. Good luck to all people who are trying to lose weight or get healthy!!!!
